Traveling is the fun part – packing not so much… This blog will introduce you to 8 of the most essential travel items to make your life easier when packing! From organization to safety to saving yourself money – these Important Travel Essentials You Need for Your Next Trip!
Like I mentioned before, packing isn’t the most fun part of traveling. I’m starting to get to the point where I dread it so much I end up waiting til the last minute and end up forgetting something. With these 8 travel essentials, I promise packing for trip will get a whole lot easier!
8 Travel Essentials for Packing

First on the list of travel essentials is packing cubes! I have to say, organization is my middle name and these packing cubes are a must! It allows you to separate your clothing by items so you don’t have to dump your entire suitcase on the floor to find what you’re looking for.
The packing cubes featured here are a 6 piece set with 4 cubes, 4 different sizes plus a laundry bag and a shoe bag. The set comes in multiple different colors and is the best when it comes to sorting your clothes while packing for a vacation.
Next, this tool has saved me and my wallet multiple times! It’s a small luggage scale that you hook around your luggage handle and lift and it’ll tell you how much your luggage weighs, this way you won’t be in for any surprises at the airport.
This scale linked comes in 3 different colors and shows 4 different weight units. Honestly, this is probably my favorite packing tool I’ve ever bought! I use to just weigh my luggage on a scale at home to make sure I didn’t go over the airlines limit, but you know you’re going to buy stuff on your trip and it might be hard to find a scale to weigh it again. Just by going over 1 lb. some airlines will charge you almost $100 extra and this scale helps me avoid worrying about that!
I am a huge reusable bottle user. There’s nothing I hate more than plastic bottles. That’s why I always make sure to bring a reusable water bottle with me when I travel. Most airports now have refillable water stations which is a great alternative to a $5 water bottle that they sell instead.
These bottles comes in multiple colors and also a cleaning brush for less than $10!
Obviously not getting your information stolen on a trip is always a plus, right? These RFID sleeves will protect you and your bank cards from just that! While these aren’t the exact protectors I use, after reading multiple reviews, these seem like one of the best options.
The sleeves linked here are a set of 12 card holders for only $10!
Organization essential again – but for your electronics! Wires, chargers, and headphones specifically. We all know how headphones get magically tangled no matter what you do (not I don’t have AirPods yet). This electronic organizer will help you keep all your items neatly organized, easy to find, and no tangles!
The case linked is amazing! It comes in two different colors and is adapt to whole a variety of electronics including cell phones, tablets, and wires. It is waterproof and is surrounded by padding for around $15!
Additionally, safety should be your first priority when traveling! That is why I never go anywhere without some extra locks on my luggage. When you do buy locks for your items, it’s important to buy locks that are TSA approved. I also never get one with a key because it can be so easy to lose them, but a code will be there as long as you don’t forget it of course!
I always tended to limit the amount of jewelry I bring on a trip because I don’t want to lose it. Without a doubt this jewelry organizer helps me keep all of my jewelry in one place so I know where everything is and it doesn’t get tangled!
This jewelry organizer comes in multiple colors and allows you to store necklaces, rings, earrings, and whatever else without getting things tangled and mixed up.
And finally, our last travel essential – a toiletry bag. It’s a great feeling to know all of your toiletries are all stored in one place. I’ve included two options here since there are so many different options when it comes to shopping for toiletry bags.
The first toiletry bag (left) comes in multiple colors, hangs up, and has several pouches to store items in. Following is the second toiletry bag (right) is similar to the first one. It comes in multiple different colors, hangs up, and has several pouches to store items in. This bag also comes in different sizes and is water resistant.
