One of the adventures on my bucket list is to visit all of the National Parks in the United States. If I plan to do this I definitely need the basic gear to do so and the main thing is hiking boots! While some of the functions of hiking boots aren’t exactly necessary for some paths, at the very least hiking boots will provide you the needed foot support that many of us lack in general. Within this list I’ve included top 5 recommendations for women’s hiking boots. Also included are a pair of trail tennis shoes for those who don’t intend to become hard core hikers as well as some women’s hiking socks. Nonetheless, having the right shoes is SO important!

Only around $130.00, these hiking boots from Timberland are ones that I personally own. They are super comfortable and give great support to your ankles. They say they run true to size, but I did end up returning mine to get the next full size up. The boots are waterproof, so your feet will remain dry throughout your hike!
The Colubmia hiking boots cost around $90. They come in multiple different colors, but to me the most iconic and recognizable is in elk and mountain red. The boots are lightweight, comfortable, and waterproof.
Salomon is another popular brand of hiking boots. These women’s hiking boots cost around $170 and come in two different colors. Similar to the other boots, these are durable, waterproof, and are mid height to give you that ankle support while on trails.
If price is your concern while shopping for hiking boots, these NORTIV boots might be a good option for you. Costing around $60, these boots come in two colors, offer great ankle support, are comfortable, durable, and slip resistant, and also waterproof!
Our last hiking boot recommendation is from Merrell. These boots come in 9 different colors. What differs these boots from the others is they have a removable insole with an air cushion in the heel that is designed to absorb shock and add stability. Similarly to the previous boots, these have waterproof features, are durable, and offer great ankle support.

I personally have a pair of trail running shoes from Asics that I use on less strenuous hiking trails. They still offer great support for your feet, have more traction than your normal tennis shoes to avoid slipping, and are definitely a lighter in weight option while exploring.
They come in multiple colors and typically are a little cheaper than a pair of hiking boots. These shoes cost around $70-80.
Also, what good are hiking boots without hiking socks? To compliment my new pair of hiking boots I ordered FEIDEER women’s hiking socks. The colors are super cute and the socks are so comfy. They aren’t too thick so they don’t take up too much additional space in your boots and they are only $16-23.
